FLASH Radiotherapy & Particle Theryapy Annual Conferences
Since its introduction in 2021, the FRPT conference has been the premier annual meeting bringing together scientists and professionals sharing an interest in FLASH radiotherapy. Their annual events bring together researchers, students, clinical oncology professionals and industrial partners like THERYQ to form a global community committed to the study, development and eventual clinical application of this novel biological effect.
FLASH Radiotherapy, a Groundbreaking Innovation in Radiotherapy Research
For those unfamiliar with the concept, FLASH Radiotherapy is an innovative radiation technique in which treatment is delivered in a fraction of a second, at an ultra-high dose rate (commonly referred to using the acronym “UHDR”). Using this method, a remarkable biological effect can be observed, with pre-clinical research showing an enhanced differential response: damage to surrounding healthy tissue is reduced with a maintained level of tumor control compared to conventional treatments.
The triggering of this effect, known as “FLASH”, is possible thanks to innovative particle beam accelerators, capable of reaching Ultra-High Dose Rates of over 100Gy/s.
THERYQ, Pioneers in FLASH Radiotherapy
THERYQ specializes in the development of systems, with a view to pioneering the clinical application of the innovation. For over a decade, THERYQ have partnered with various leading cancer research centers in collaborative FLASH research projects.
Now a part of our product range under the name “FLASHLAB”, the Oriatron eRT6 investigational linac supported some of the most notable studies into FLASH radiotherapy.
Such studies include the treatment of the first ever patient using FLASH Radiotherapy:

Our Range of “FLASH” Systems, from Reseach to the Clinic
In Rome, visit our booth (n°14) to discuss our 3 systems with our team of experts. As our portfolio of UHDR electron beam linacs continues to grow, we are proud to be an industrial partner covering all fronts of FLASH Radiotherapy.
FLASHLAB, 7 MeV low energy electron beam for research into the radiobiology of the “FLASH” effect.
FLASHKNiFE, 6 or 10 MeV low energy electron beam with penetration of up to 3cm.
FLASHDEEP, 100 to 200 MeV Very High Energy Electron Beam (VHEE) for deeper penetration.
See you at booth n°14!
